But booking a jet is not like buying a ticket. A few decisions are worth getting right from the start.

Where from

Barajas and Torrejón.

In Madrid, business aviation operates mainly from Barajas, with its general aviation terminal, and from Torrejón. The choice depends on the aircraft, the schedule and the destination, and it is one of the first things we settle.

The same applies at the other end: many cities have a smaller airport closer to where you are really going. Choosing it well saves more time than the flight itself.

Which aircraft

The trip sets the size.

For short European hops with few passengers, a light jet is usually enough. For larger groups, more luggage or flights of several hours, a midsize jet. And to cross to the Americas non-stop, a long-range aircraft.

The question is not which aircraft impresses most, but how many are flying, how much luggage, how many hours, and whether you need to sleep on board.

Many aircraft fly without passengers to reach their next client or return to base. These are empty legs, and sometimes they fit a given trip. There is one condition: the aircraft sets the schedule, not the passenger.

What to have clear.

Dates and flexibility, number of passengers, luggage (golf clubs, skis, pets), one-way or return, and what is needed on the ground: the car at the aircraft, the transfer or the house at the destination.
