What a luxury concierge really does.
Not a list of suppliers, nor a switchboard forwarding emails. Someone who knows your life and takes care of it.
The word concierge is used for almost everything: from the hotel desk to any service that promises to get things done. So it is worth separating what really adds value from what only looks like it.
What it is not
Not a phone book, not a search engine.
A luxury concierge is not someone who passes your request to a supplier and waits. Nor is it a catalogue. If the result is the same you would have got by calling yourself, there is no service.
What it is
One point of contact, with memory.
It is one person who knows your context: how you travel, with whom, what you like and what you do not. When you ask for a plane, they already know your golf clubs are coming; when you ask for a house, they already know how many bedrooms you need. That memory is what turns separate errands into a service.
And it is one conversation. The flight, the car at the destination, the villa, the boat and the evening's table are not five tasks: they are one trip.
Discretion
The method, not the promise.
Those who use these services tend to value that nobody knows where they are or with whom. Discretion is not advertised: it shows in how the work is done, in who sees each piece of information and in what is never discussed.
Club and concierge
The difference.
A concierge executes. A club also accompanies: it surrounds you with people worth meeting and gives access to what is in no catalogue. Laurex is both: the concierge inside an app, with private jets, yachts, cars and villas, and an invitation-only private club around it.
Membership is not bought. It is requested, and every request is reviewed personally.
